Share the magic! ****** COLLECTION LIQUIDATION –I am helping a magic friend sell most of his collection, (and I already had a ton of magic I was trying to get listed!) so I am putting his Collection items in this separate eBay store category, and I will probably not be saying too much about the items. I will give a few good photos, and I will give a quick assessment of the item. If you know your magic, you will recognize many items and know they are a great deal here. Or if you don’t know the item, you may have to do a bit of online research to find out about it. This is a SEALED example of the classic Adams gag item, the Sucker Egg. (Egg is made from solid plaster, and looks fairly realistic — although this was sold as a gag item, many magicians used these Adams eggs with their Egg bag routine, substituting it for the unrealistic-looking wooden eggs that were typically provided with Egg bags back in the day.)This ADAMS Sucker Egg is an early issue, from the 1970’s — it does not have the UPC code on the back of the package (UPCs were a new thing in 1973) so is from that era before Adams began to print packages with UPCs. The package motif that features the black « Jester » icon in the left corner, which designated a « gag » item is consistent with mid-1970’s. (Items from the Adams « magic » line-up had a black « Rabbit in Hat » icon) Later packages did away with this corner icon category coding.You can see from the photos that the package is clean and still sealed — although there is some heavy warping, this is fairly common for the Sucker Egg, which was (let’s face it) too big to be sealed in hanging shrink-wrapped packages. This is typical warping and bending for this item (and other props that were slightly large or oddly shaped). However, other than this warping, the packaging is clean and unmarked. It is separating very slightly at the bottom, but all corners and other edges are fully sealed.The Sucker Egg remained in Adams line-up for decades, and so examples are available can be found for sale in later packages, but finding one in this early pre-UPC packaging is much tougher. A great find for the Adams collector, or a collector of 1970’s closeup and/or vintage beginner’s magic.CONDITION NOTES: this item is previously owned, but still sealed in its original package, so not actually used. However the package has some typical wear and folds (very common on Adams shrink-wrapped hanging items like this one). Because of this, I have listed it as « used » NOTE: The shrink-wrap of the large Egg has caused fairly severe bends and warp to the package, but it is still intact. +++++++++++ ***** Yes, we will combine multiple eBay wins into a single shipment to help lower the overall shipping costs.
