FEWTURE – FAT FROG ROBOT – TAKAYUKI TAKEYA – KEITA AMEMIYA – PAUL KOMODA – RARE MODEL KIT – JAPAN Here’s another work of art from two of Japan’s finest to ever do it: EISAKU KITO And TAKAYUKI TAKEYA FAT FROG ROBOT is Volume 2 in Fewture’s Keita Amemiya Image World series Red Mausoleum. For those unfamiliar Keita Amemiya is a super talented writer, director and artist who created the Zeiram series, Hakaider and many other sci-fi horror creature films. His creature designs are incredible and inspired Yasushi Nirasawa, Takayuki Takeya, Paul Komoda and countless other artists. This successful series by Fewture Models exposed many American collectors to these artists for the very first time. Both Takeya and Eisaku were frequent contributors to Hobby Japan and other specialty model kit magazines. Eisaku was known for his cool bio mechanical designs.He even sculpted Fewture’s very rare Libido Bike Model kit – inspired by H.R. Giger. Takeya was known for his powerful boundary pushing organic creature designs! This model kit was also a co-production with Keita Amemiya’s company Crowd. The model itself is on the smaller side, coming in at7 to 8 inches tall depending on how you position the legs. The details are beautifully executed, sharp and crisp! Takeya sculpted the 1/35 scale Zeiram figure also included with the kit. It’s small but expertly detailed measuring in at 2 1/8th inches tall.It gives great scale to the robot! An extra special bonus is that thisZeiram is painted by PAUL KOMODA!So now you have a collaboration between 3 incredible artists!!Some of the paint has chipped off on the back of his helmet. Also included are a few build up photos and a simple instruction sheet. The original box is in excellent condition as well. These are getting extremely difficult to find especially in this condition. Even at the time of its release there were very few of these around.This is a piece of garage kit history. Both Takeya and Amemiya would go on to produce countless impressive works in film, book releases and high end statues and toys. This is a ORIGINAL and NOT A RECAST!
