***********The ETA/Valjoux 7750 automatic movement with quickset day and date functions keeps accurate time over an approximate 41 hour power reserve period with all chronograph functions working as they should. Occasionally the oscillating weight can be heard rotating when the watch is gently shaken and or moved in certain motions (it’s not loose). Both pushers press in and depress crisply and the day and date wheels roll over as they should. Given that the movement shows no signs of ever having been serviced a complete overhaul is likely long overdue and recommended.***********In the late 1990’s Kobold produced 100 Limit A chronographs. This particular Limits A was number 43 in that run. It has a lovely black « SWISS MADE » signed dial and the original lume, which emits a glow after being exposed to bright light, remains fully intact. The sandblasted surgical stainless steel case shows honest wear, dents and dings with no visible signs of oxidation. The outer edge of the case back is stamped « WATERRESISTANT 10 ATM 043 AUTOMATIC 25 JEWELS SWISS MADE » with « 4157 » stamped on the inside of the case back. The crystal shows minor wear. The 25 jewels Swiss ETA/Valjoux 7750 automatic movement with quickset day and date functions is clean, runs strong and keeps accurate time with all chronograph functions working perfectly as they should. Occasionally the oscillating weight can be heard rotating when the watch is gently shaken and or moved in certain motions (it’s not loose). Both pushers press in and depress crisply. The top pusher starts and stops the sweep seconds hand while the bottom pusher resets it along with the minute register (top subdial) and hour register (bottom subdial). The sweep seconds and minute/hour registers reset to precisely 0. After recently winding the sharply threaded, screwdown crown 39 full revolutions the movement had an approximate 41 hour power reserve period. The crown winds smoothly. The quickset day function works flawlessly by bringing the crown out to the first position and then turning it counterclockwise. The quickset date function works in the same manner with the exception of turning the crown clockwise. The crown at 8 o’clock turns the inner bezel bidirectionally. Given that the movement shows no visible signs of ever having been serviced a complete overhaul is likely long overdue and recommended.This watch measures approximately 39 mm excluding the crown, approximately 43 mm including the crown and approximately 22.5 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the mid-case, is approximately 13 mm. Including the crystal thickness measures approximately 13.5 mm.
