THIS STYLE BOOT WAS ORIGINALLY MADE FOR USE BY BRITISH MOTORCYCLE POLICEMEN AND WAS LATER ADOPTED BY BRITISH BIKERS . THESE ARE OLDER VINTAGE BOOTS: GOLDTOP ENGLAND “Classic styles for vintage motorbikes and British café race enthusiasts. Styles dating from 1960’s. A British traditions since 1951. The Goldtop brand has, for 65 years, been synonymous amongst motorcycle enthusiasts with the production of the highest quality motorcycle clothing and apparel. This earned them the slogan of « known and recommended everywhere » as all motorcycle riders from the public to police force were proud to say that they were wearing Goldtop.Goldtop’s most famous product is its iconic Goldtop Trophy tall motorcycle police boot. Made in England from chrome bovine leather, these boots were the staple product for both your average rider and the UK police force throughout the 1970s. MEASUREMENTS: 15 1/2 TALL FROM TOP OF HEELS TO TOPS. 12 1/2″ WITH HEEL AGAINST WALL TO TIP OF TOE, 4 1/4″ ACROSS WIDEST PART OF SOLE, 1 3/8″ HEELS. 16 1/2″ AROUND THE OUTSIDE TOPS, 16” AROUND AT OUTSIDE CALF LEVEL THESE BOOTS HAVE A HEAVY DUTY YKK ZIPPER THAT RUNS THE FULL LENGTH OF THE BOOT ON THE OUTSIDE SIDE OF THE BOOT THAT IS SEALED AND COVERED OVER BY A LEATHER FLAP WITH VELCRO UNDERNEATH MAKING FOR EASY ON/OFF. THE ZIPPERS AND VELCRO WORK FINE. THEY ARE LINED IN THE TOP FEW INCHES IN BROWN COWHIDE. THE THICK BLACK “FULL CHROME BOVINE LEATHER” IS SUPPLE AND NOT DRIED OUT OR HARD AND TAKES A HIGH SHINE. NO MAJOR SCRATCHES, MARKS, NICKS OR SCUFFS. THEY ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION! THE SOLES ARE THICK COWHIDE LEATHER WITH RUBBER HEELS THAT SHOW ONLY MINOR WEAR. SEE PICS.
